My yoga book suggests finding the feeling in your body, naming it, cupping it in your hands and releasing it above your head to an imaginary fire - then noticing the sweet space left behind. It does work.
Today I wanted to stuff food to deal with feelings... especially toward the end of the day. That's a pattern. Once the amount gets "over" healthy - then it doesn't seem to want to continue. I'm sure there's a lesson here.
However I also had a couple hours walking (10-11 k) and 1.5 hours yoga today... plus some time with the meditation tapes... so... we'll see how that works out.
